Coastal Walk

Many of our visitors share with us the joy and delight of the Coastal trail which starts out at the Friary and leads you past Lady Isabella’s beach and towards the headland known as Pointe na gCapall, and then down to Lucky Shell beach. The trail provides wonderful views of the coast, and it is possible to spot a variety of sea birds, Seals, Sea Otters, and on the odd occasion Dolphins. It is a walk of moderate difficulty with two short steep climbs. Beyond Lady Isabella’s beach, this trail is not recommended for wheelchair users, or those who might be a little unsteady on their feet.
