Welcome to Ards Friary
A Franciscan Centre
for the Care of Creation
A Ministry of the Irish Capuchin Franciscan Friars
Ards Friary Centre for the Care of Creation lies on 200 acres of woodland on the shores of idyllic Sheephaven Bay, just 30 kilometres from Letterkenny. The Capuchin Franciscan Friars have lived, worked, studied, and prayed here since the 1930’s. Today Ards is an oasis of peace for those seeking to step out of the hustle and bustle of modern life for a while.

Most High, all powerful, good Lord, Yours are the praises, the glory, the honour, and all blessing. To You alone, Most High, do they belong, and no one is worthy to mention Your name. Be praised, my Lord, through all you have made...
