Ards Friary Centre for the Care of Creation lies on 200 acres of woodland on the shores of idyllic Sheephaven Bay, just 30 kilometres from Letterkenny. The Capuchin Franciscan Friars have lived, worked, studied, and prayed here since the 1930’s. Today Ards is an oasis of peace for those seeking to step out of the hustle and bustle of modern life for a while.

🌱 Fr. Mathew’s Walled Garden
Our historic garden, covering approximately 4.5 acres, is home to a variety of trees and plants. Divided into 3 sections with stone arches, you can see the aged apple orchard, with various other fruit bushes too! Joy Farm are working with the land in Ards to cultivate, grow and harvest organic produce every week.
